Getting started
- Sign up with your email (or Google), set up your authenticator app and confirm your PAN.
- Add your bank and cash accounts, then upload a bank or card statement (PDF, Excel or CSV).
- Look over the sorted transactions and fix the few the app isn't sure of.
- Open the Dashboard for your month, and Income tax for your year — the filing pack is one click away.
Is Lingsaa Money free?
Yes. During early access every feature is free and no card is needed. If paid plans come later, they will be announced well in advance, and nothing will be charged unless you choose a plan yourself.
How do my bank transactions get into the app?
Download your bank or card statement (PDF, Excel or CSV) from your bank and upload it. The app reads every line, skips the ones already imported and sorts them into categories. Automatic bank sync through India's Account Aggregator network is being set up and will come later.
Do you ask for my net-banking password?
Never. Lingsaa Money never asks for, sees or stores your net-banking or card login. It only reads the statements you upload.
Does the app file my income tax return?
No. It prepares your income, deductions, both tax regimes, the right ITR form and a filing pack. You (or your CA) file and e-verify on incometax.gov.in.
Which ITR forms does it prepare?
ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3 and ITR-4 for individuals resident in India. It tells you when your situation needs something it doesn't prepare, such as foreign income, crypto or F&O trading.
Can I enter my Form 16 and check my AIS / 26AS?
Yes. Enter each employer's Form 16, and upload your AIS to compare it with what is in the app — differences are listed so you can fix them before filing.
Is my data safe?
Account, Aadhaar and similar numbers are encrypted and shown masked. Sign-in uses an authenticator app as a second step, every change is recorded in an audit log, and your data is never sold or used for advertising.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, any time: My account → Your data → Delete my account removes everything at once. You can download a full copy first. If you can't sign in, email us from your registered address and we will do it for you.
Do I need a CA to use it?
No — it is made for individuals. But the figures are not professional advice, so for anything complicated it is wise to have a CA look over the filing pack.
